Yaoying Wang, piano
Chinese concert pianist, Young Steinway Artist Yaoying Wang performs internationally as soloist and chamber musician. She has performed in major concert venues including the Purcell Room, Southbank Centre, St Martin-in-the-fields, St John’s Smith Square, St James’s Piccadilly, the Blackheath Hall, Santa Cecilia Hall, Perugia, Shanghai-Oriental-Art-Centre, and many others. She has also played piano concertos with several orchestras across Europe and Asia and has won numerous international music award and scholarships.
Yaoying received her Bachelor of Music degree with honours from the Royal Academy of Music, and the Master of Music degree from the Royal College of Music, and she obtained her Artist Diploma and the FTCL study from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire, studied under world-renowned concert pianists Professor Danwen Wei, Colin Stone, Gordon Fergus-Thompson, and Deniz Gelenbe, etc. She has participated in international music festivals such as London Master Classes, Music Fest Perugia, and Académie international d’Ete de Nice and has collaborated with many top musicians from her generation. She also collaborated intensively with well-known brand as special invited artist and brand music ambassador such as Jaeger LeCoultre and Porsche. She has been described as “One of the most gifted young pianists in her generation.”
As a representative of oversea Chinese outstanding young musicians, Yaoying has been interviewed many times by major Chinese TV stations such as Xinhua News Agency, Europe Phoenix TV Station, etc. She has also appeared in magazines and newspapers such as “BBC Music Magazines”, and “Oversea Students”. Additionally, she has been invited multiple times to serve as the jury member at international competitions, many of her students has admitted to top prestigious schools worldwide, received music scholarships, and won top prizes from national and international piano competitions.
Zhou Hang, piano
Pianist Zhou Hang began playing the piano at the age of 5. He attended the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, studying with Professor Eleanor Wong, later the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and Royal College of Music in London, studying with renowned musicians such as Diana Ketler, Philip Jenkins, Ashley wass, and Dominic Wheele etc.
Zhou has performed and participated in numerous music festivals all over Europe, Asia, North America. Zhou has also been involved in various opera performances as répétiteur. In addition to his music performances, Zhou has been engaged in exploring emerging art forms and co-founded the Wanderlust Studio of New Media Art in the UK. The studio has collaborated with well-known brands and companies such as Bulgari and Volkswagen Shanghai.
In 2019, Zhou established the Harmonic Music Studio in Shanghai with the Shanghai Harmonic Symphony Orchestra, and successfully held many performances in venues such as Shanghai Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall, Shanghai Concert Hall, Oriental Art Centre and so on.
