XueLin / Peter Xie began to study music when he was three. At the age of 11, he got a study award to study piano performing at the junior department of the XingHai Music Conservatory in Guangzhou. Two years later, Peter won a full scholarship(sponsored by the provided by the Department for Education’s Music and Dance scheme) to enable him to study at the Wells Cathedral School. In 2016, Peter won a Major scholarship (supported by RCM) to continue his study at the Royal College of Music.
Peter is the prize winner of several international piano competitions, including the Windsor International Piano Competition,the Young Pianist of the North international piano competition and the Watford international piano competition.
In addition to this, Peter received a considerable amount of praise from the well-respected Chinese music journals-“Young Artist” after he gave numerous of piano solo recitals, charity concerts and lectures across different cities in China annually. Including in Shenzhen, Xiamen, Hong Kong, and Guangzhou, etc. In 2014, he was invited as one of the finest young pianists in China to perform for the prestigious event-Boao Summit Forum for World Youth that was broadcasted by more than 50 leading media around the world, which contain the best-known media in China-Tencent and Phoenix Satellite Television.
Moreover, Peter launched his music career by signing a contract with one of the most celebrated performance company in China-JUOOO in 2015. Furthermore, Peter was also invited to serve as a jury member for the nationally renowned Global Outstanding Chinese Youth Piano Competition in 2015 (Preliminary Round) and 2016 (Pre-Selection and Grand Final).
