Xiayan Xu

XIAYAN XU, piano
Xiayan Xu, born in August 2009, started playing the piano at the age of 5 , studied with Steinway Artist Shizhe Shen since 2019.

Despite her young age, she has already won quite a few competitions and has made her appearance in many concert halls. In July 2019, she participated at the ABRSM Beijing music summer camp, at the same time she won the gold medal at the Hunan piano open competition. In August 2019, she was invited to play at the ‘’Shizhe Shen and her friends’’ concert, then in December 2019 she was invited as guest artist to play at Shizhe Shen piano recital  (Hainan).
She won the first prize at the Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso international music competition in 2020, won the 2nd prize at the Citta di Barletta international music competition 2020, won the gold medal in XingHai piano competition in Hunan, won the first prize at ShangHai International youth competition in Hunan in July 2021 and again won the absolute first prize in Kayserburg piano competition in Hunan, China.

In June 2020, she was invited again as guest artist to play at Shizhe Shen piano recital (HaiAn).

Xiayan Xu has participated in many master classes and received guidance from many pianist such as Changxin Guan, Anthony Williams.

In 2021, Xiayan Xu signed with KNS record label, and this is her debut CD.
