Yegor Dyachkov, Cello teacher at Université de Montréal
“A lyrical, sensitive performance by two fine musicians.”
“Thomas Chartré really is a great cellist. I was very happy with the work that we did on the recording of my Cello Concerto. Thomas is very professional and musical.”
Alan Belkin, Composer
“The Chartré-Salov tandem is particularly eloquent in the Schumann. One can hear a similar tenderness, both at the level of the touching cantabile of the cello as well as the subtle moving canvas that Salov weaves for our greatest pleasure!”
“Thomas Chartré’s playing is always intelligent and fascinating. He has a somber and articulated sound in the lower register and a refined cantabile in the higher register. ”
Mathieu Lussier, Artistic director of Arion Baroque Orchestra
