Quanlin Wang has established herself on the international stage, being praised as “a special, talented and brilliant pianist.” “Her playing is of a quite unusual clarity and purity….” She has performed numerous concerts in China, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Russia, and the USA, and has been invited to perform at international music festivals all over the world, including the Hammerklavier International Piano Festival in Spain, the Internationales Klavierfestival Junger Meister in Germany, the 2nd Alumni Arts Festival at the Central Conservatory of Music, and Tutti International Music Festival in China. Since 2012, she has been recording performances for the China Central TV (CCTV), China’s national broadcast channel. As a soloist, she has toured and collaborated with orchestras such as the Portuguese Philharmonic Orchestra, the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra of Romania, the China Guangxi Symphony Orchestra, the South Germany Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim, the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Wernigerode, and Wratislavia Chamber Orchestra Poland. Quanlin is the prizewinner of many international piano competitions including the first prize and the Orchestra Award in the 22nd Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition in Portugal, the first prize and the Special Prize in the Kaufmann International Piano Competition in New York, and the second prize as well as the Audience Prize in the 29th Città di Cantù International Piano Competition in Italy.
Born in 1999 in China, Quanlin began her piano lessons with Xia Zheng at the age of four. At eleven years old, she was admitted to the Middle School attached to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing with the highest entrance exam score for her year, and studied with Prof. Manchun Chen. During her studies in Beijing, she won the top scholarship each year, and was awarded the special scholarship for young talents. Since 2017, Quanlin has been studying in the renowned class of Prof. Bernd Goetzke at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media in Germany.
