“In the fullness of their youth, Millán and Elisa show once again extraordinary maturity. Millán displays a rare blend of accuracy and fantasy combined with passion and balance. His cello and his music speak and sing with all his heart. Elisa has that precious gift of phrasing and beauty of sound. They are truly outstanding and have a brilliant future.”
Angel Luis Quintana, cellist
“The melodic natural talent is always alive in this duo. The lyricism of the cello is never lost, from the passionate Cassadó to the anguished Largo of the Sonata, from the sensual Piazzolla to the evocative Rachmaninov. Abeledo’s refined phrasing is always hopeful, even in the darkest moments of Shostakovich. Elisa Martín, makes an impeccable duo with the cellist, showing great talent and clear phrasing, always at the service of music. Melancholy impregnates this CD, recorded by a duo whose youth would be difficult to guess, given the maturity of their performance.”
Suzana Stefanovich, cellist
“He is in possession of a warm noble expressive sound and a musical instinct and understanding which has enable him to master an extensive and varied repertoire. His sense of musical expression and phrasing is always very natural and convincing, and he communicates extremely well with audiences.”
Troels Svane, cellist
