Martin Münch
Born in Frankfurt in 1961, Martin Münch studied Music and Philosophy in Mainz. Later he studied with Professor Wolfgan Rihm at the Superior Conservatory of Karlsruhe. As a soloist he has performed in Italy, United States, Austria, Japan and Spain. His most recent program included the Complete Suite “Iberia“ from Albéniz (which has until now performed in Paris, Wiesbaden, Bamberg, Zurich, Stuttgart and Nürenberg).
Ha has recorded for radio and television (SDR nad SWF). His musical “oeuvre” includes fourteen pieces that go from music for piano to music for orchestra. His CD “Katharsis”, published in 1996, was received with the enthusiasm of the critics (Frankfurter Rundschau, Die Zeit and NMZ).
Martin Münch is founder of the “Association for the Culture of the last Romanticism” in Heidelberg and he has also been a piano professor at Bamberg University since 1994.
