JIAPENG WANG, piano
Jiapeng Wang was born on August 7, 1999, in Shenyang, China. He started learning piano at the age of 5 and was admitted to the Secondary Music School Affiliated to Shenyang Conservatory of Music in 2012 to study with Ms. Mei Lin. At the age of 15, he held his first piano solo concert at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music Concert Hall. In 2016, Jiapeng Wang came to Germany for further study and as the youngest piano performance student at the time, he studied for a bachelor’s degree at the Detmold University of Music with Prof. Elena Margolina-Hait.

During his bachelor’s studies, he has been trying more possibilities. Not only did he win the three first places in”Avila”, “Treviso”, “De Bach Au Jazz” international competitions from 2018 to 2020, he also graduated with the highest scores in all, and was highly praised by all professors.

Gradually, Jiapeng Wang began to be active in many famous European music festivals: “Monschau Eifel Musical”, “Spain Deia Musik Festival”, “Aachen Kulturkreis Richterich”, “Kabelklassik”, “Eurade International Arts Festival”. At the same time, he also actively participated in some important piano competitions, winning the first prize at the “11th Italian Osimo Nuova Coppa Pianisti Piano Competition”, being quarter-finalist at the 68th Maria Canals International Piano Competition”and winning the 2nd prize at the “41º Concurso international de Piano Delia Steinberg” or the “SienaVilla Scacciapensier International Piano Competition”.
In 2024, he will become an official contestant of the Leeds Piano Competition.

Jiapeng Wang has always maintained a respect for music and a spirit of exploration, and has successfully held many solo concerts in Detmold, Cologne, Aachen, Frankfurt am Main, Windeck, Mallorca, Athens, the Netherlands, and Italy. His unique personal music style and exquisite musical interpretation have attracted the attention of many classical music lovers.

He is currently studying for Germany’s Highest diploma in performance “Meisterklasse”at HFMDK. He studies with Prof.Florian Hölscher and Artist Director Euregio Piano Award, Ms.Xin Wang.
