Cuore Piano Trio

CUORE PIANO TRIO
Cuore Piano Trio played spiritedly, like a diamond” – these words were used to describe the trio’s debut in the world-famous Brahms Hall of the Wiener Musikverein in 2022. Spirited interpretations and excellent technique are one of the many assets of the ensemble, which make the trio unique, and which draws ever greater attention of the European and American music industry.

The ensemble was formed in 2017 in Warsaw and its main focus from the very beginning was promoting the unknown Polish composers at the international music scene. The trio is a part of the Polish Music Agency and the Italian Le Dimore Del Quartetto, from which they received the prestigious Ensemble of the Year prize in 2023. They are laureates of many international music competitions, a.o. the Fanny Mendelssohn in Germany, Music and Stars Awards in Estonia or Nouvelles Etoiles in France.

In 2023 the trio performed Bohuslav Martinů‘s triple concerto with the Jyväskylä Sinfonia under Jan Söderblom in Finland, whereas not long after they went to Canada for a concert tour as the Ensemble in Residence of the PRISMA Festival. The trio performs regularly during major festivals such as the Young Prague (Czech Republic), Lago Maggiore Musica (Italy) or Bad Schandauer Musiksommer (Germany). They appeared on many of the most important stages in Poland (a.o. the National Philharmonic Hall) and abroad. Since 2022 Cuore Piano Trio has their own concert cycle called Souvenir in Wiener Musikverein.

The ensemble’s performances have been broadcasted in the USA and the UK (The Epoch Times TV, Arizona Public Media Radio), Poland (Radio dla Ciebie, TVP3 Katowice, TVP3 Lublin), Finland (Yle) or Lithuania (TVP Wilno). The musicians work for the EUFONIUM Publishing House as editors. They led to the world premiere release of the score of Franciszek Lessel’s Piano Trio Op. 5 in E major (2020).

The trio graduated with honors from the chamber music class of Krystyna Makowska-Ławrynowicz at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. Currently they take inspiration from Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Sibila Konstantinova and Vida Vujic at the mdw in Vienna. Within ECMA they worked with musicians such as Johannes Meissl, Hatto Beyerle or Eberhard Feltz. The trio has been supported by the Lubelskie Voivodeship (Poland) within the “Lubelskie – Taste life!” Program.

“The Cuore Piano Trio balances violin, cello and piano on the highest level, both on a familiar, as well as on a less popular musical territory. Zuzanna Małgorzata Budzyńska, Jadwiga Roguska and Szymon Ogryzek are an experienced team of musicians who challenge each other and complement each other wonderfully. Chapeau to this young up-and-coming ensemble!” – Veronika Mandl, Musikverein Wien, November 2023
